My paintings are not meant to show a known world; instead, I paint to help us find our inner voice and look at the world the way we are meant to...through our emotions and hearts.
Since I was a young boy, I have been attracted to art. I began by drawing cars, thinking my designs were so advanced that BMW, Porsche, or Aston Martin would hire me to design their next car. Because I was not employed at 10 years old by any of those companies, I switched my focus to painting the perfect amoebas, as my friends so eloque
Since I was a young boy, I have been attracted to art. I began by drawing cars, thinking my designs were so advanced that BMW, Porsche, or Aston Martin would hire me to design their next car. Because I was not employed at 10 years old by any of those companies, I switched my focus to painting the perfect amoebas, as my friends so eloquently put it. I eventually settled toward abstract art as my style matured.
Although I was told by many that painting abstracts are not art because it does not depict a realistic object or person, I have always believed that it is the only mean by which I can express myself by allowing my emotions to guide my paintbrush as opposed to simply copying an image.
I use many different mediums, such as acrylics, birch wood, and cotton canvas. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
I enjoy the arts, in general, in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these arts in nature. I love recreating inner emotions and visuals in my work.
